This post is brought to you by Wallternatives
Baby A is set to arrive any day now. As part of transitioning to a two-kid family, we're changing K's room around to be a combo big boy room and nursery. The theme when it was K's nursery was puppies with blue and brown spots. Cute - but pretty babyish.
Our new theme is Woodland. I've already told you about the woodgrain mongrams I made the boys and the moss covered ampersand to go with it. But of course you need more on the walls than a couple letters!
When I was at SNAP! conference last month, I met the team from Royal Design Studio. You might know them for their really beautiful stencils. They told me about the new Wallternatives line they were launching and I just knew it would be perfect for the boys' room.
Not only did they have the most perfect set of Woodland Critters wall decals:
BUT they totally fit in with our green lifestyle - unlike some popular vinyl decals, these contain no PVC, Phthlates, Glycol-ether or Formaldehyde! Instead, they are a printed polyester fabric that uses a non-toxic repositionable adhesive - which is PERFECT since K likes peeling things off his walls. Including things I've mounted with screws. Ahem.
It also means that the decals weren't ruined when he informed me that I put the decals up wrong and he needed to "fix them". Ha! The decals we had on the wall before (NOT the Wallternatives) would have been ruined if he'd tried that. We've actually moved these around in his room quite a bit since the first application and as long as we don't drop them on the ground (where they would pick up dust and crumbs, etc) they should continue reapplying over and over and over with no issues!
The one thing K did leave alone was the tree that I put lower to the ground at kid height. Because, really? what kid doesn't want a kid-height tree and a pet bird?
At the end of the day, I really can't say enough great things about these decals. They are non-toxic, infinitely repositionable and super cute! What's not to love?
Be sure to pop over to the Wallternatives website to check out all of their WallPrints (that's the non-toxic fabric decal line). I think I may even be ordering this adorable Forest Friends set to add to our little woodland hideaway for the boys.

Sponsored post disclosure: This post was sponsored by Wallternatives. I was compensated for my time spent reviewing and writing about the Woodland Critters WallPrints. All opinions are 100% mine. Nobody told me what to write about this product. I genuinely love it and think it's the best alternative on the market to vinyl wall decals.
