How to Make Bath Bombs STEP 3:

Add melted coconut oil. The coconut oil helps hold all the ingredients together, so your bath bombs don’t crumble when you touch them!

How to Make Bath Bombs STEP 4:

Add the polysorbate 80. This helps the coconut oil disperse more evenly in your bath water, makes the bath bombs bubbly and prevents the mica from sticking to the side of the tub.

How to Make Bath Bombs STEP 6:

Mix the ingredients together.

After an initial stir with the whisk, I use my hands to break down any lumps and make sure everything is really mixed in there.

The mixture is perfect when it holds together when you squeeze it into your hands.

How to Make Bath Bombs STEP 7:

Add sprinkles to the bath bomb mix and stir.

Because you are using a small amount, they are perfectly safe to use in your bath and should melt in the warm water in your tub.

Don't like sprinkles? It's ok to leave them out.

How to Make Bath Bombs STEP 8:

Fill both halves of the bath bomb molds with the bath bomb ingredients mix until it is a bit overflowing. Quickly press both sides together, using a twisting/grinding motion to get rid of any excess mixture coming out of the sides.

Gently twist the top off and carefully remove the bomb, setting it aside to dry.

As you progress through making the bath bombs, you may need to spray the mixture with the rubbing alcohol to moisten it, so the remaining bomb mixture will continue to bind together.

How to Make Bath Bombs STEP 9:

Allow the bath bombs to dry a minimum of 24 hours.

Store in an air dry container until ready to use.

How to use a bath bomb

To use a bath bomb, simply drop a dry bath bomb into a tub of warm water! Watch it fizz as it dissolves. As the bath bomb fizz begins to wear out, you can use your hands to crumble the bath bomb if desired and mix the ingredients into your tub.

That's it!

    1. How many bombs it will yield really depends on the size of the mold you use. I would say about 4 medium sized bath bombs with enough leftover to make a tiny one.
