I've talked before about how I save most of my glass jars from store bought foods to re-use as food storage. Sometimes, though, the proper lids get separated from their jars and I have "lid orphans." Instead of just tossing your lonely lids, turn them into cute candle plates following Karin's tutorial on her blog, Pysselbolaget. The tutorial is in Swedish but she has excellent photos and if you visit the site in Google Chrome, Chrome will give you the option of translating the page into English (or your other preferred language).
