How to Make a Cute Dry Erase To-Do List

Teacher Appreciation day is coming up on May7th. This cute dry erase board is a perfect table-top to-do list, place to leave love notes or could even be magnetized to stick to the fridge. It's also super easy and inexpensive to make!

Supplies

  • Picture Frame (i wouldn't recommend one smaller than 5x7)
  • Cute Patterned Paper or Cardstock (I used patterened file folders)
  • Pen or Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Dry Erase Marker
  • Pom-Pom
  • Velcro
  • Craft Glue or Hot Glue
  • Magnets (optional)

Directions

Step 1: Trace the Background
Open up the back of your frame and remove the piece of paper that came inside. Use this as a template to trace onto the back of your patterned paper. Use your scissors to cut it out.

Step 2: Make Some White Space
Cut out a smaller piece of white or solid colored paper or cardstock and center it on your patterned paper. Use tape or glue on the backside to hold it in place. Put the paper into the picture frame.

Step 3: Accessories
Use the craft glue to adhere a pom-pom to the end of a dry erase marker to use as an eraser. Use the glue to attach velcro to both the edge of the frame as well as the marker. If you would like to make your frame magnetic, you could also glue magnets to the back of the frame.

That's it!
(told ya it was easy!)

  1. wow this is great :) I have used frames as a dry erase board, but I would never have thought to have used scrapbook paper behind. It looks great and you have done a fab job :) Pinned :D
