Gluten Free Apple Pie Smoothie



Do you love apple pie? I sure do. When our local farmers started bringing fresh apples to the farmer's market, my son asked if we could make an apple pie. It was 100 degrees outside, so uh, no. Sorry. BUT I did agree to see if I could make him an apple pie smoothie and I must say I am pretty proud of how this turned out!

Now you can enjoy apple pie all year round - even when it's hot outside - since this is your secret to no-bake apple pie!



Ingredients

  • 2 small apples*, peeled and cored
  • 1 cup whole milk yogurt*
  • 1 Tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tsp + more for garnish apple pie spice  (pumpkin pie spice works in a pinch)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
*Creative Green Living recommends purchasing these ingredients as organic where available to avoid GMOs, pervasive pesticides and/or questionable farming practices.



Directions

STEP 1 

Blend apples, yogurt, agave and spice in a blender until well blended

STEP 2

Add frozen banana to smoothie and pulse until well blended and uniform in texture.

STEP 3

Top with whipped cream and a dash of apple pie spice.
